The ImpENSA consortium gathered to welcome guests to the launch of the ImpENSA Training Programme at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Stellenbosch University. The launch was the culmination of three years of collaboration and hard work by the partners from eight organisations in South Africa and Europe.
Marina Sanchez Garcia presented the ImpENSA Project at the XXVI International Conference on Practical Nutrition (Jornadas Internacionales de Nutrición Práctica) in Madrid on the 30th of March 2022. This conference offers an exchange forum for international discussions around nutrition research, clinical practice, and its impact on society.
Prof Havemann-Nel from North-West University and Kerry Sexton from Stellenbosch University /University of Cape Town showcased the ImpENSA project at the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education Virtual Fair.
ImpENSA hosted a symposium “Capacity building through innovative training to improve early life nutrition and health in South Africa: The ImpENSA Project” at ICD 2021 on 2 September.

Dr Wendy Lawrence from the University of Southampton introducing the “Healthy Conversation Skills” module of the ImpENSA Training Programme which was showcased at the Forum. The module will focus on skills development to facilitate behaviour change during the first thousand days of life.
