The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences' of Stellenbosch University, one of the leading medical schools in Africa, provides innovative health education and research to meet the needs of South Africans. It has a well-developed information technology infrastructure and is conveniently located close to communities that reflect social and health problems typical of southern Africa.
The role of SU in the project:
- Lead/facilitate the curriculum design for counselling (Healthy Conversation Skills) – eLearning and face-to-face training.
- Lead/facilitate the development of eLearning module on counselling and face-to-face practical counselling training, ensuring they are prepared suitable for the target users and South Africa context.
- Facilitate the preparation and conduct of the Training Course and pilot evaluation in South Africa, supporting MUW to prepare the evaluation study appropriate for the context and carry out efficiently.
